Disc Golf

Disc Golf

The other day Mike Rogers™ and I went and played Disc Golf. No outing with me isn’t complete without a life application…

Ahem

Disc Golf is a lot like life.

You throw your disc towards the goal and some get a good first throw some don’t.

Continually you make throws toward the goal imagining where you want it to land but usually it doesn’t. Mike™ hit a tree right in front of him once…or twice. Yes that happens in life too. I just pick it up say that one didn’t count and try again…throwing another direction preferably around the said tree.

Eventually you get to the goal. 99% of the time the path you took wasn’t the flawless one you thought up in your head before that first throw. You threw a hundred feet left and then overshot the hole only to watch it roll a mile away. After the two throws from the woods you are finally lined up for your putt (which you will miss) and realize that you had fun the whole time. Then, sinking the second putt, you realize you only shot a bogey (one over par), and that it really doesn’t matter what your score is, your disc is in the basket.

On to the next hole to find out what crazy place Mike's™ disc will end up!
